City edge past Chelsea to keep hopes of a domestic double alive
Bernardo Silva's late goal was enough to secure Manchester City a 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium.
The Portuguese midfielder struck in the 70th minute to give Pep Guardiola's side a hard-fought win and keep their hopes of a domestic double alive.
City were looking to bounce back from the disappointment of their Champions League quarter-final exit to Real Madrid in midweek, and they started brightly against Chelsea.
However, it was Chelsea who created the better chances in the first half, with Mason Mount hitting the post and Romelu Lukaku missing a glorious opportunity.
City improved after the break and Silva's goal eventually proved to be the winner. The victory means City will now face Liverpool in the FA Cup final on May 14.
